2nd Group of 12

Not quite as impressed this week with the contestants. There were 3 clear winners of the night for me though. They are: 

1. Adam Lambert

2. Allison Iraheta

3. Megan Joy Corkrey

Alexis Grace (YEAH!)

Danny Gokey (double YEAH!)

Michael Sarver (What!?)

Obviously I am surprised by Michael Sarver. He can sing good, but I just didn't see that one coming. I think Anoop will be a wildcard though, so I still have hope for him.

Overall, I am pretty happy with the choices made last night by America. What about you?

The 1st 12 perfomances of Season 8

Ok, well we knew some would crack under the pressure, but wow! A lot of them really had a hard time last night. I feel so bad for those who are obviously nervous up there. I genuinely want everyone to do good, but that's not reality.

I won't elaborate on those who did bad, I'm not feeling that mean today.:) My faves of the night were:

Danny Gokey 

Alexis Grace 

Anoop Desai

Those are the 3 I hope will make it through on tonight's show, so we will see how good I am at predicting who will make it.

The Final 36!

What? 36!? That's right! This year there are 36 finalists. This will be interesting to see how this will work to narrow it down. It sounds like they will do 12 contestants per show. Does that mean it will be on 3 nights in a row? And then a fourth day for the results? I love that idea. I can't get enough of this show!

I will update this each show and share my opinion about the performances. I am not one to hold back, so it will be my honest and sometimes brutal opinion.

Now about "Crazy Girl", Tatiana Nicole Del Toro, I realize that she has made the show and I will admit I am shocked! Granted the girl can sing, but honestly she needs to completely change her personality if she is going to stay on the show. America will hate her before she even opens her mouth. Time will tell...

Hell Week Continues...

Ok, If that crazy girls makes it on the show, I will be the first one to rally to vote her off! She is so self-centered in all of her interviews and completely annoying. I can't remember her name, but she the one that started saying "No, no, please, no." before the judges told her room whether or not they made it.

I can't wait to see who makes it on the show this year. There are so many that would be so good and nice to look at too.:)

Drama, Drama, Drama!

Last night was group day on American Idol. And of course, there was drama with what is at stake. Part of me thinks that they should skip the group thing, because I feel like there are good contestants that get kicked off and it's all because of a bad group. Like Rose, with the blond dreads and barefeet. She is really a good singer and she would have been great on the show, but her group was awful together and she ended up getting the boot.  Maybe one day the producers will cut that out of the auditions, who knows...

Either way, I will still watch because I love every minute of it! Let me know what you think about the groups and leave a comment.

Hell Week!

This week on American Idol is supposed to be "Hell Week". This is where the contestants who got a golden ticket go to Hollywood to see how they do under pressure. At the end of this week we will know who our finalists are. I can't wait to start picking out my favorites!
